New President at Jet Aviation

“I am confident that, under Smith’s leadership, the company will continue to differentiate itself through the quality of the products and services it delivers to customers,” comments Lombardo on Smith’s appointment.

Virginia-headquartered General Dynamics has appointed Robert E. Smith as President of Jet Aviation, reporting to Joseph T. Lombardo, Executive Vice President of the company’s Aerospace group. Smith succeeds Daniel G. Clare, who has been appointed CFO of Gulfstream Aerospace. The appointments are effective as of the first of January, 2014.

Smith has been VP and CFO of Jet Aviation, headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, since July 2012. Clare has been president of Jet Aviation since July 2011, responsible for oversight of the company’s business aviation services operations worldwide. Clare joined Jet Aviation through Gulfstream.
