Actor and pilot John Travolta was among the first VIPs to pass through the ExecuJet FBO at Lanseria for the Soccer World Cup.
He landed with his Boeing 707 from Buenos Aires and was accompanied by his wife, actress Kelly Preston, and daughter Ella to lend support to the Australian national team. Travolta then held a press briefing in the ExecuJet VIP lounge.
With the World Cup now well underway, ExecuJet South Africa is set to do record business during June and July. Its FBO facility at Lanseria, near Johannesburg, handled 197 business jet movements in the first week, including aircraft arrivals from 27 Heads of State.
Meanwhile, at ExecuJet’s Cape Town FBO, the initial estimate, to handle approximately 120 international aircraft over the period, is increasing daily. This represents at least a 300% increase in movements.
