First TBM 930 simulator certified

The first Daher-Socata TBM 930 flight training device (FTD) recently received certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Created by Frasca International, the FTD is expected to enter service next month at the Lee Vista training center in Orlando, FL, a facility owned and operated by SIMCOM Aviation Training, Daher’s US partner. SIMCOM already operates FTDs for Daher’s family of TBMs, including the TBM 700 and TBM 850/900.

The FTD features the entire TBM 930 cockpit, including the Garmin G3000 digital avionics suite, with touch-screen controls, weather radar, synthetic vision terrain awareness and traffic advisory system.
