The first Daher-Socata TBM 930 flight training device (FTD) recently received certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Created by Frasca International, the FTD is expected to enter service next month at the Lee Vista training center in Orlando, FL, a facility owned and operated by SIMCOM Aviation Training, Daher’s US partner. SIMCOM already operates FTDs for Daher’s family of TBMs, including the TBM 700 and TBM 850/900.

The FTD features the entire TBM 930 cockpit, including the Garmin G3000 digital avionics suite, with touch-screen controls, weather radar, synthetic vision terrain awareness and traffic advisory system.

“Lifelike training is very important for high-performance aircraft, and we are pleased that the continued partnership with SIMCOM will make TBM 930 transition training available for our customers,” comments Daher Airplane Business Unit Senior VP Nicolas Chabbert.

“SIMCOM has been the exclusive authorized training provider for Daher on the TBM program since 1999, and we’re looking forward to expanding our offering to the TBM 930,” adds SIMCOM International President & CEO Eric Hinson.
