International FBO services provider Signature Flight Support has inaugurated its new FBO at Boeing Field King County International (BFI) in Seattle, WA, earlier this month.

The company demolished the old facility and put up a new 6,250 sq ft executive terminal with energy-efficient LED technology. According to a company statement, Boeing Field King County Airport, King County Water & Land Resources Department and King County Department of Permitting and Environmental Review were involved in the construction to establish an experimental system for storm water management as part of the new development.  “This system will be monitored in the coming years to determine if acceptable to use on future airport development projects,” the statement further reads.

“Signature’s new facility at Boeing Field King County International Airport is a fantastic option especially for aircraft traveling trans-pacific as a tech stop,” comments Signature Flight Support President & COO Maria A. Sastre. “We are invested for the long-term and see a bright future for the airport and the Seattle area.”

“As one of our biggest FBOs, Signature’s success is a testament to the role it plays in Northwest aviation,” added BFI Airport Director Randall Berg. “Their new facility, located a stone’s throw away from the Airport’s main terminal building, is another example of how, by working together, the future of this Airport is limitless.”

Signature also operates at Seattle Tacoma International (SEA) providing fueling, executive terminal facilities and flight support services.
